DVSDK 4.02 for DM365 and DM368 have download problem

I tried to download the DVSDK 4.02 package from: http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/dvsdk/DVSDK_4_00/latest/index_FDS.html for DM368 device. The package opened as a text file. I think it might be linked or named incorrectly. Can someone fix this?

It is the same for DM365. The DM3730 and OMAP-L138 links take you to Export Control registration page, so not sure if the Linux package for them have the same problem.

I am using IE7.

As Ubuntu 10.04 32bit is the right environment to unpack and build dvsdk's I guess it should be better for you to download with that host operating system.

Thanks for the suggestion. I still think there is an issue with the file setup on the download server. Even though software is designed to be used in Linux environment, I should still be able to download to Windows PC.

You can download it from Windows using IE. However, there is a slightly different step for IE. This documented on the download page itself. I'm pasting the instructions from the download page (http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/dvsdk/DVSDK_4_00/latest/index_FDS.html) here.

5.1 Download the DVSDK installer for your platform.

Internet Explorer users: right click, select Save As. In the file dialog change the file type to All Files before saving the file (otherwise the installer will be saved as a text file).

I did as you recommand but the .txt extension is automately attached.

I use win7 with IE9.

can you please advice more?

I download via google Chrome.

Nomore .txt extension attached and the installer works!!

BTW, the downloadded installer file that attached .txt extension, I just eliminate .txt and excute on linux. it works also -_-;
