C6211 board : parallel port setup

Hi

I would like to know if it possible to customize the parallel port setup for a C6211. My problem is my laptop don't have a build in parallel port. I have added a PCMCIA port. This device has created 2 ports First one is LPT1 but it is ECP. Second one is LPT3 and the base address never correspound to possibilities in C6211 setup. Il this setup I have 4 possibilities LPT1 (0xA), LPT1 (0xB) LPT2 (0xC) and LPT2 (0xD). It is possible to setup a custom port in C6211 setup

Thank you

  • Hello,

You can create a custom board configuration, but I am not sure how well this will work (if at all) with the PCMCIA slot.  As best as I know TI never created any windows drivers for PCMCIA-to-PPT connections.

In any case, to create a custom board using a different port open the CCS Setup and select the 'Create Board' tab from the middle pane. You can then select the emulator and CPU to be used for this configuration.
