Hi
We are having am437x based custom board with two ethernet ports. I am trying to boot up the board over ethernet.
I am trying to boot up the board over ethernet, with sysboot pins configured accordingly. I tried connecting ethernet cable to both ethernet ports and not seeing Led's on ethernet phy glowing.
On Linux Machine i am using wireshark & tcp dump tools to observe packets traces. I am not getting BOOTP packets on the trace.
SYSBOOT [4:0] pin configuration i tried for ethernet boot up.
10110, 10111, 11011, 11100.
please let me know whether i am missing anything. please find the schematic screenshot.
Do you have JTAG connection to your board? If so, set your boot mode to 11100, power up the board and connect JTAG and check the CTRL_STS register at address 0x44E10040. Please provide the output here.
Can you also provide the schematic of the Ethernet PHY and it's interface to the processor.
Regards,
James
Siva, please check the answer here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1175806/am4378-am437x-gp-evm-peripheral-boot-up-over-ethernet
Most likely you will need to change the PHY boot strapping as mentioned in the post.

James
