Cannot use .pl (perl) for GenAIS

Hi,

I tried to use GenAIS to create .ais file for booting, but got the following message:

Why does this happen? I am using CCS 3.3 due to instability of SEED emulator driver on CCS 4, and I remember that during the installation of CCS 3.3 there I options for ActiveState Perl installation, however I didn’t remember if I had selected them.

How could I enable the script? Do I have to install or re-install ActiveState Perl? Is there a version requirement? My best hope is to get the TI recommended version, possibly directly supplied from TI site.

  • You do not remember if you installed Perl, and you are asking TI why Perl does not run? You have a very high opinion of our intuitive debug skills.

Please make sure you have installed the correct version of Perl as specified for genAIS.in the Using the DM643x Bootloader Application Note.

TI does not distribute Active Perl, as far as I know.

    Randy,

I have to apologize. I later downloaded ActiveState Perl 5.8.9 and genAIS was able to run.
