USB On-The-Go

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB7320, TUSB7340

Hi folks,

I was wondering if the experts here could get me started with some strategies to implement USB On-The-Go for a board with a C6678.

I'm looking at a few of the TI peripherals that offer OTG capabilities:

  • TUSB6020
    • "It will enable Texas Instruments application processors (DSPs/OMAP/MCUs) that do NOT have integrated USB cores to function as a USB device."
    • It uses VLYNQ ... how hard is it to implement VLYNQ on the C6678?
  • TPS69590
    • USB 2.0 OTG
    • Made to communicate with the OMAP universal transceiver macrocell interface (UTMI) + low pin interface (ULPI). The C6678 doesn't have those, so would this be a non-starter?

Am I missing anything obvious?

How much software support is built into the current Linux for C6 for OTG? How about the SYS/BIOS MCSDK?

I appreciate any guidance you guys can offer.
