Thanks for answering, when I have a look to the test projects on the AMIC110 evaluation board; they use one of the implemented RJ45 connectors. In my case I would like to implement an EtheCAT slave device by using of both the PRU’s, one as EtherCAT input and the other one for EtheCAT output, in addition I need a third Ethernet connection for standard Ethernet. My idea was to configure the MII pins, but I cannot find any possibility for configuration within TI’s PinMux tool. Is it possible to obtain such a configuration (one AMIC110 + 2 PHY’s for EtherCAT and a third PHY for the Ethernet connection)?

I'm using an AMIC110 as an EtherSAT slave device - that is already implemented and works fine (the AMIC110 is fixed in the design, so I can't replace it). What I intent to do is adding another Ethernet port to the AMIC110. The two PRU's are occupied by EtherCAT and they are connected two external PHY's  by MII. The diagram in the user manual of the AMIC110 (SPRS971D) at page 5 shows additional an RMII that can be accessed from the Cortex A8 core and even the pinning of the AMIC110 points out MII pins. How can that Interface accessed by the Cortex A8 core,  we don`t use high level operation system such as Linux.

So I need a statement whether it is feasible to realize up such a setup on the AMIC110 (one EtherCAT slave involving two Pru's and a third Ethernet Port). Basically I would like to run Ethernet over EtherCAT (EoE) in that configuration.

You mentioned this as below 

AMIC110 as an EtherCat slave device (both PRUs are in use).

The AM335X and AMIC110 share the same TRM as below 

AM335x and AMIC110 Sitara Processors Technical Reference Manual

The AM335X provides the below capabilities for the EMAC and PRU-ICSS and this is similar to AMIC 

The above thread illustrated you can use the CPSW and ICSS interfaces and shared as an indicative input.

As i mentioned above, i am checking internally.

FYI, please refer below thread that compares the EMAC and PRU between AM335X and AMIC.

The AMIC should provide similar performance as the AM335X and so you should be able to use the EMAC ethernet along with the PRU ethernet and this also depends on the design.

The comparison points out that the AMIC110 has 2 ports for the PRUs and an EMAC interface. So far so good - but - how can the RMII interface be configured using TI's PinMux tool? Another point, how does the software access the EMAC interface. There is an Rx/Tx register for the data of the UART, which is also displayed in CCS in debug mode, I can't find such a register for the EMAC interface.

Are sure that you have selected the AMIC110 ans not any AM335x CPU?

Go to http://dev.ti.com and select the SysConfig tool. From SysConfig, select AMIC110 and click start.

You should now see the following screen:

You can now select 1 RMII and 2 x MII_PRUSS1.

I have aslo attached the sysconfig file for you:

If this should bot work for you then we'll need more detail. Include screenshots, tool version and saved .sysconfig file.

Thanks - it would never have occurred to me that the offline tool (installed on my PC) is different from the online PinMux tool (A small note would have been helpful).

As I mentioned at the beginning, I would like to open a third EtherNet port in addition to the two PRUS. So I would like to connect another PHY via RMII interface to the CortexA8. According to the data sheet (spruh73p) the CPSW_CPTS register is located at the address 0x4A100D00, why can I not display these registers using CCS debugger (there are only questionmarks), does it require a special configuration of the CCS? Is there a simple startup project for the Amic110, which runs the EtherNet via RMII to the CortexA8?

I suspect you have an old version of the offline tool - see here: https://www.ti.com/tool/SYSCONFIG

For CCS, I suspect that the CPSW IP has not been enabled. Check the CM_PER_CPGMAC0_CLKCTRL, CM_PER_L4HS_CLKSTCTRL, and CM_PER_CPSW_CLKSTCTRL registers.  Register and bit field definitions can be found in the TRM.

You may find examples in the PROCESSOR-SDK-AMIC110.  However, I suggest you start an new E2E with this specific question so that it can be routed to the best team.
