AM3356: Power Rail Sequencing

Part Number: AM3356

Hi Champs,

Is it safe to power up/down 1.35V DDR3L rail at the same time as the 3.3V, 1.8V rails?

From this figure, it seems it would be possible, but want to confirm:

  • Additionally, is there additional powerup/powerdown recommendations on max voltage difference between the following?

    • 3.3V and 1.8V  and max time duration
    • 3.3V and 1.35V and max time duration
    • 3.3V and 1.1V  and max time duration
    • 1.8V and 1.35V and max time duration
    • 1.8V and 1.1V  and max time duration

    Thank you!

  • Hello Ryan T,

    Thank you for the query.

Since i am not aware of the power solution you are using, i would say if you are following the sequence recommended in the datasheet that should be fine.

There are different power sequences available and alternate power-supply sequence is one of them.

Regarding the time duration between supply rails, we do not have a time number. It is important to follow the sequencing and ensure that the device is held in reset until all the supply rails and the oscillator are stable. This is shown in the power sequence diagrams.
