I studied and have run the capture test application in HDVPSS in DM8168.

But when I don't connect video souce to the DM8168 EVM board,the CCS also shows that some frames have been captured!

Why?

who can help me to configure the correct params to capture YUV 422P from TVP5158 in DM8168 evm?

Hi,

You will not require to configure TVP5158 as sample application takes care of configuring it. You just sample application, it will capture frames for around 60 seconds and show the statistics.

the key point is that the sample application still shows that some frames have been captured when nothing is provided to TVP5158!

Do you mean it shows frame being captured even if nothing is connected? I will try it today.

Hi,

You are correct, even if nothing is connected, it shows frames being captured. I think this is because of the TVP5158, it outputs blank frames in case nothing is connected. Since Video input port is getting frames from the decoder, it outputs it to the memory and reports the fps.
