AM3352: Share the same software projects for different hardware PCBA

Hi，TI

If there are two PCBA, Same DDR/CPU/FLASH/Ethernet PHY, Only PCB LAYOUT is difference, and difference is very big.

Can they share the same software version?

Any need to change? such as DDR time parameters?

1. None is running. I will use own software to try. As PCB difference is so big, I am afraid DDR will be run fail

2. You mentioned use TI's software to run, If sch is not the same, Can it be used?

3. Or there is any software to test DDR？

Hi,

If the DDR time parameters are different, you would have to adopt the DDR configuration differences in your software.

The timing parameters wouldn't change if it is the exact same DDR device (ie, same density, speed grade, etc), but some of the IO parameters may change, such as drive strength and termination. Is this a single device DDR design? If so you might be able to use the same software, but if the layout is significantly changed, then there may be signal integrity issues if the DDR layout guidelines in the datasheet were not followed.
