Hello Champs,

1. Customer wanted to realize IPC function.  He used the mcspi_performance_8bit demo in mcu_plus_sdk_am62x_08_04_00_16 and replaced the new built am62-mcu-m4f0_0-fw file in /lib/firmware/, the test result is that the received data are not the same to transmitted data. It prompted below message.

2. He tested another mcspi_loopback demo, it works. After modifying it to external loopback, it still works.

Thanks
Rgds

  • Hi Shine,

I am assuming you are talking about mcspi performance 8 bit?

Have you opted for MCU or Main Domain SPI peripheral?

Please confirm on the above, so that I can proceed looking into the same.

    Regards,

    Vaibhav

  • Hi Vaibhav,

    Thanks for your support.

    1. Customer tested the mcspi performance 8 bit demo.

    2. He tested the MCU pins and didn't modify the example.syscfg file. He tested the mcspi_loopback, both the internal loopback and external loopback(modify the example.syscfg ) work correctly which means the hardware is OK.

    Thanks
    Rgds

  • Hi Shine,

I have recreated your issue. I am also getting the same output as yours and I see it says, "Data Mismatch at offset 1".

I am working on it, and I will come up with a fix to it. (Please allow me sometime for the same, as I will debug and try to find the problem at the granular level)

Could you also answer the following:

    1. Which core are you using, is it M4 or R5?

    2. Is it FreeRtos or Baremetal?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Vaibhav

  • Hi Vaibhav,

    Thank you very much.

    1. Which core are you using, is it M4 or R5?

Customer is using M4, TI demo without modifying.

    2. Is it FreeRtos or Baremetal?

Customer tested on both FreeRtos and Baremetal, the results are the same.

  • Hi Shine,

I have noticed that the problem with the data mismatch at all the offsets has been persistent in the previous release as well; for example the release 8.4, and the current 8.5.

I am going to talk with the respective team and try to find out where the problem really is.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Vaibhav
