E2E ( e2e.ti.com/... /am3354-is-it-possible-to-keep-usbx_drvvbus -high ) about "When VBUS drops below VBUSVALID, the MUSB controller turns off DRVVBUS and generates a VBUSERROR interrupt", is this Is this done by hardware only?
I thought that the DRVVBUS is turned off when the driver is closed by software on the VBUSERROR interrupt, but am I wrong?

Thank you for the inputs. I will provide my inputs after reviewing the thread.
The overload detection is performed by U22, USB power switch and cuts off the voltage when an overload is detected.
The Output voltage is sensed by the Vbus input and generates the DRVVBUS signal to control the switch.
I spoke with the customer about this and it did not fit. It was because they think they are doing it with hardware and I think they are doing it with software. Please confirm this as it appears from rereading it that it is being done in hardware.
I believe this is implemented internal to the USB PHY.
