  • Hi Jack,

Could you please paste the output of the below command after booting to Linux command prompt on J7200 EVM:

    zcat /proc/config.gz | grep *TPS6594*

We need CONFIG_MFD_TPS6594X to be enabled in arch/arm64/configd/tisdk_j7200-evm_defconfig to have poweroff functional.

    Best Regards,
    Keerthy

Can you please specify how to make "CONFIG_MFD_TPS6594X" into tisdk_j7200-evm_defconfig. I put the macro directly into the file. It seems not functional?

Please let me know the correct steps to add "CONFIG_MFD_TPS6594X" properly.

    Regards,

  • Hi Jack,

That looks good now. Also you should notice LEDs going off if you are using TI EVM. You can even double confirm by probing PMIC regulators voltage dropping to 0.

    Best Regards,

    Keerthy

  • Thnaks for your kind clarification.

I will check LEDs going off and PMIC regulators drop to 0.

  • Hi Keerthy

LD5 & LD6 turn off after 'poweroff' command called. But LD7 still ON. Is it normal?

    (1) when power off

    (2) before 'poweroff'

    (3) after 'poweroff'

Please check if it is normal

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

Yes. That looks correct. Also double check but measuring the voltage rails.
