Hi,
Good Day. I have a customer who is working with CCStudio. Please see below his query for your reference. Thank you very much.
I am having issues getting a license file to work.
I am using code composer version 4.2.5.00005 and have gone onto the website and downloaded a license file but having a hard time getting the program to see the file.
If you wish to use an older version of Code Composer Studio, then you will need a license file.
For CCS v4, v5 and v6 download the unlocked license file.
Remember: avoid the "license verification failed" message
Save the license at: <root>\ti\license
(Check for misspelled directories such as \ti\lcense)
Do not open the license in notepad and then save it to \ti\license. The license should only be saved directly to \ti\license without editing.
The license must be saved with the extension “.lic”
the text above is from the FAQ page on the CCS IDE
https://www.ti.com/design-resources/embedded-development/ccs-development-tools/ccs-faq.html
I am trying to get an older version of Code Composer Studio to see the downloaded unlocked license file and not having any luck.
not sure if you can see above but using version 4.2.5.00005 and went to the FAQs page and downloaded the unlocked license file.
I downloaded the file but not exactly sure where to stick it. It indicates <root> but not sure what this means. I have stuck the file in multiple places but it never indicates that it sees the file.
I need to use version 4.2.5.00005 due to the legacy items.
The program is installed. just can't get to see the license file.
Best Regards,
Ray Vincent
