I'm using the TMS320C6416 DSK to implement an algorithm of fingerprint recognition, I want to know is  this type of DSP is suitable for my project

    This inquiry is somewhat vague, but from a bird's eye point of view yes the C6416 is probably suitable for fingerprint recognition in terms of sheer processing power and capabilities; however, there are any number of factors (such as power consumption) that may determine whether or not this remains the case. I believe a company called AuthenTec created a daughter card which functioned on the C5510 or C6713 DSKs several years ago. Because the C6416 is a more powerful processor it should have no trouble handling these algorithm(s).
