TDA3MV: design parameter

Part Number: TDA3MV

dear

1. Does it support 1080P 60fps 4-camera input or 720P 60fps 4-camera input?

2. support  video output 1080P 60FPS?

3. Does it support  3D viewing and transparent chassis display?

4. Does the system delay requirement of 60ms satisfy? This means sensor to serializer to deserializer to TDA3, and finally to TFT with a total system delay

5.What's the TDA3 delay? Refers to the video from the chip CSI input to LVDS output delay

6.Support for RTSP streaming media output?

7.Does the DSP kernel run RTOS, BIOS or something else?

8. Is the AVM algorithm from third party or TI  reference?

thanks in advance

any advise?thanks in advance

  • Hi Raymond,

Please find answers to your question below.

    1. Does it support 1080P 60fps 4-camera input or 720P 60fps 4-camera input?

but over which interface? Over MIPI, we can capture 1080p 4CH @30fps. The frame rate 60 would be difficult, almost impossible, depending on the pixel size..

    2. support  video output 1080P 60FPS?

Yes, it does support 1080p 60fps output.

    3. Does it support  3D viewing and transparent chassis display?

There is no GPU on TDA3x. You could probably use LDC to generate 3D view..

    4. Does the system delay requirement of 60ms satisfy? This means sensor to serializer to deserializer to TDA3, and finally to TFT with a total system delay

Well, it really depends usecase, so difficult to tell without understanding usecase.

5.What's the TDA3 delay? Refers to the video from the chip CSI input to LVDS output delay

Did not get the question, do you mean delay in the current usecase? I would suggest to refer to datasheet to get the numbers..

6.Support for RTSP streaming media output?

Well, Ethernet is supported. You would require to port RTSP streaming support.

7.Does the DSP kernel run RTOS, BIOS or something else?

Yes, DSP runs on TI RTOS ie BIOS.

    8. Is the AVM algorithm from third party or TI  reference?

    TI provides reference algorithmm.

  • Hi brijesh

More detials need your help to offer advices:

    1. Does it support 1920x720p 4CH@60fps?

    2. Does it  support 540 degree transparent chassis display ?

    3. Does it  support video encoding output via Ethernet?

    4. Show as below 360 3d look around case , 1080p 4CH@30fps input ,MIPI Input ----》 TDA3 chip internal video image processing and splicing process to complete -----》 Bt. 1120 OUT, how much is the transmit  delay?

    thanks in advance

  • Hi Raymond,

    Please find answers below.

    1. Does it support 1920x720p 4CH@60fps?

Yes, capture can be supported for this resolution over MIPI, but cannot be processed in ISP.

    2. Does it  support 540 degree transparent chassis display ?

Well, this can be done in the SW features. I really doubt there is any HW feature that can support it.

    3. Does it  support video encoding output via Ethernet?

    Yes, ethernet is supported.

    4. Show as below 360 3d look around case , 1080p 4CH@30fps input ,MIPI Input ----》 TDA3 chip internal video image processing and splicing process to complete -----》 Bt. 1120 OUT, how much is the transmit  delay?

Do you mean the latency here from the capture to display?

    I would say

    - one frame time period in capture

    - ISP and Dewarp processing depends on the frame size and can take around one frame time period

    - not sure about dsp processing time, depends on the kind of algorithm you are running on it

one frame time period in display.
