AM623: H264 audio decoding question with Display Subsystem

Are you referring to H264 Video decoding? 

H264 decoding on AM62x is done using open source GStreamer plugins (avdec_libav) that are available and can be displayed using the tidss driver using kmssink element.

Audio can be played using GStreamers alsasink or using ALSA aplay/arecord api's.

        thanks for your help, Do you mean that decoding requires A53 cores?

AM62x SOC’s have multiple processor cores - Cortex-A53, and a Cortex-M4F ARM core. The A53 typically runs a HLOS like Linux/Android and GStreamer currently is packaged with Linux, so yes decoding is on A53 cores.
