EVM DM642 - urgent help

Which version of the DM642 EVM do you have? Basically what I am looking for is what type of video decoder your EVM has (either 2x Philips SAA7115 or 1x TI TVP5146).

Unfortunately I don't think this is posted anywhere publicly, but if you need a copy feel free to contact TI through http://support.ti.com and someone should be able to get it to you (as opposed to everyone who needs it from here on out PMing Tim :) ). If you cannot get it through support.ti.com for some reason than go ahead and make a post to request it here and we can try to work it out.

Note that although the DM642 is still active and widely available, there are newer Davinci devices that have largely replaced it (i.e. DM6446, DM648, DM6437, etc.) so if you are starting a new design you may want to consider one of the newer Davinci or OMAP parts.

for the EVM DM648 you can download the DDK (and also updated versions...) if you have registered your board:

as the guys posted before, I think that the DM648 would be a good replacement for the DM648 in new designs. I think it is comparable in terms of price and has made a huge step forward in terms of performance compared to the DM642

I have the same problem here with an old

EVM DM642 (Version 1) and urgently need

that file and the DDK 1.1 too.

For the DDK, SPRC118 (on TI's website) doesn't help?

On the original CD the DDK version was 1.1 - I think that in the newer version some drivers

have been removed, thats why i was looking for the older version.

But i got the software again, so the case is closed/solved.

 My  teacher give me the evmdm642 board(vision2) but  he losts the CD-ROM .  So I need a cd-rom too...

I want know how to get a cd-rom OR a SetupEVMDM642.exe .

If u get the cd-rom please tell me the ways u get it.

As mentioned previously you need to contact your local support group to gain access to the software.

I currently have the DM642 EVM board v3  without the setup dm542 cd, is it possible for you to tell me where i can find it . If it is easer for you my email is charxik@hotmail.com
