AM5729: How we can debug c code using code composer studio for beaglebone-ai in linux

Hi,

I installed Processor SDk Linux Version 06.03.00.016 and beaglebone-ai with SD card .so, how can I debug c code using ccs 9 .3

Do i want debug the code using c type USB which generate power supply to the board ?

To verify connection which type of emulator should i select in ccs ? (XDS100)

What part number should i want to mention for Target configuration ?

Do i want to debug with only ccs or there is any other way ?

Hi Mounika,

Beaglebone should come with it's own OS (usually Debian based), but is there a reason for using Processor SDK Linux? If not, I would recommend flashing their OS and reaching out to the Beaglebone forum.

On the other hand, for TI's board/SDK, the following documentation is what we provide for setting up CCS for AM57x devices: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM57X/08_02_01_00/exports/docs/linux/Foundational_Components/Tools/Code_Composer_Studio.html.

I am using processor linux SDK 06.03.00.106 version . I had completed the booting process present in SDK and board is booting now .

Can I use Remote system explorer plugin for beaglebone-ai present in processor linux SDK 06.03.00.106 version ?

Can I debug beaglebone-ai by connecting power supply and enternet to the board or can you suggest any other way?

Hi Mounika,

Yes, RSE should be able to connect to the board over the network. Were you able to use CCS to debug?
