AM3352: How to create new mac address using DSA?

Hi,

EVM-SK is what I am using and the 2 physical Ethernet port is configured to switch mode.

You can see the mac address of eth0 is "90:59:af:6e:02:43" as below and it's the interface mac address.

The requirement what I ask is another mac address for Por1 and Port2 respectively.

The mac address should be "90:59:af:6e:02:44" for Port1 and "90:59:af:6e:02:45" for Port2.

Do you know how to apply it using DSA? Thanks.

Hi,

I am not I understand what you asking. To my knowledge it is not possible to assign a MAC address to an external port. Please provide an example of what you are trying to do.

It's about LLDP protocol. Here is a two port ethernet switch device and I would like 3 mac addresses on it.

For instance, Interface mac is called mac_mcu, port1 is called mac_port1 then port2 is mac_port2.

When I plug ethernet cable on port1 on the device, I should see source mac address is filled wit mac_port1 in the LLDP_Multicast frame.

In the other hand, as I plug cable on port2 on the same device, I should see source mac address is filled wit mac_port2 in the LLDP_Multicast frame.

That is why I need 3 mac addresses and maybe it can be done with DSA function (Distributed Switch Architecture)?
