SK-AM64: How do I develop AM64x starter kit on 08.05.00.21 PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM64X?

Hello,

I have a AM64 starter Kit (General Purpose). It does not boot if I install the newer Processor SDK Linux for AM64x v08.04 into it.

If I want to take advantage of the newest version and features of Processor SDK Linux for AM64x v08.05, what should I do in order to install it successfully on my AM64 starter Kit (General Purpose)?

Hi Tim,

One reason could be your device is a "GP Device", but the default images for AM64x starting with SDKv8.4 now require an "HS-FS Device". Assuming this is your issue you should be able to rename/replace the initial boot binary tiboot3.bin on the SD card boot partition with the correct one needed for the "GP Device".
