Hello team

I want to toggle GPIO pin GPI01_49(user test led).In the related threads, it is comprehended that k3-am62x-sk-common.dtsi needs to be modified as per pinmux configuration generated by devicetree.dtsi file from sysconfig tool.

I am unable to locate k3-am62x-sk-common.dtsi file . For the same, Is the procedure to compile and build kernel using following link - https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM62X/08_04_01_03/exports/docs/linux/Foundational_Components_Kernel_Users_Guide.html#compiling-the-device-tree-binaries.

Is there any more documentation on GPIO pins and physical pins on user expansion header ?

Hi,

The file k3-am62x-sk-common.dtsi can be found under arch/arm64/boot/dts/ti in the kernel code.

Thanks for response.

When I am trying to build kernel source code in board support directory of SDK, using link https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM62X/latest/exports/docs/linux/Foundational_Components_Kernel_Users_Guide.html#getting-the-kernel-source-code,

Error -bash:syntax error near unexpected token 'newline'

is popping when executing the command

make ARCH=arm64 CROSS_COMPILE=aarch64-none-linux-gnu- <defconfig>

and on board,
root@am62xx-evm:~# make ARCH=arm64 CROSS_COMPILE=aarch64-none-linux-gnu- tisdk_am62xx-evm_defconfig
make: *** No rule to make target 'tisdk_am62xx-evm_defconfig'.  Stop.
root@am62xx-evm:~# 


Something I am unable to catch,please guide.

Hi SMPL,

Sorry for my late response. Not sure if you have solved the issue, but just wanted to let you know the instruction in the documentation is for cross compiling, to compile the ARM software on a x86 PC, not natively on the AM62x board.

The issue is not solved yet by me, still trying to toggle GPIO1_49 .

Although ,i have build the kernel sources given in documentation,further I am looking for it.

Is there any documentation available for toggling GPIO using webserver?

Using webserver? toggling GPIO in a web browser in a remote computer? It is not available in the Processor SDK. You might want to search the open source community to see if there is any webserver implementation for this.

Hi,

I presume there is any resource available for the same . I will be looking for it and try to implement, meanwhile, are there possibilites to get updated SDK with current support in near future?

Hi, SMPL,

No, there is no plan to implement a web server for GPIO in the SDK.

The SDK is to provide foundational components to enable application development, but not providing all sorts of applications.
