MCBSP driver provided with kernel 2.6.37 does not work on OMAP L138 EVM

Hi,

 

I am using kernel 2.6.37 (part of DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.21.00.04) on OMAP L138 EVM board.

The kernel has mcbsp driver(under arch/arm/mach-davinci/mcbsp.c). The PSP has a example application for it, in the form of a loadable module.

I do not have 2 EVM's to connect their MCBSP to test, as recomended in the application note.

However I am trying use the example to transmit packets in master mode using following command:

"insmod mcbsp_test.ko num_pkts=5 master=1 tx_rx=1"

 

I expected to see transmitted data on Ocilloscope.

But when I insert the module I see "BCLK" starts(~2.7MHz) but I do not see activity on any other lines(DOUT, WCLK).

Is there some issue with the MCBSP driver ?  Anyone seen such issue ?
