SK-AM62: How to read/write DDR from M4FSS

Part Number: SK-AM62
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi,

I'm very new to TI processors and using SK-AM62. I want to read/write DDR from M4FSS because D-RAM is not enough to do what I want. How can I read/write DDR from M4FSS as working memory? Or I can't do that?

I have tried the following steps, but it didn't work.

  1. Configure RAT by SysConfig (Local Address = 0xF000 0000, Translated System Address = 0x9000 0000).
  2. Add below source codes to hello_world.c.

    uint32_t*    ddrBaseAddr;
    uint32_t aa;

    ddrBaseAddr = (uint32_t *)AddrTranslateP_getLocalAddr(CSL_DDR16SS0_SDRAM_BASE + 0x10000000);

    *ddrBaseAddr = 0x6;
    aa = *ddrBaseAddr;
    DebugP_log("aa = %d\r\n", aa);

In TRM, the following tables seem to describe that M4FSS can access DDR. But Table 9-1 says it cannot. This confuses me.

  • Table 2-5 says that MCU can access to DDR16SS0_SDRAM via RAT.
  • Table 3-6 says that M4FSS can use ddr16ss.
