Could some please explain how to get pwm output that can be used for backlight control. I am assuming that the pwm should show up in the /dev folder, but I can't any information on how to make this happen. Any help?

Given that this is not a TI supported product, I would suggest that you ask your question over on the Leopard Imaging support forum. Thanks.
@Marcus - When did TI give up supporting the DM355? What Stephen is looking for is a patch or instructions to get his DM355DVEVM able to output a PWM signal.
This problem is not related to a Leopard board. Is there any help on this?
The DM355 is supported however by TI, however I'm not aware of a TI implemented PWM driver (or example code). From my understand Leopard imaging does have the PWM driver. I'm including others who may have experience with the PWM driver.
This driver is not available in the DVSDK (3.10) release. However it present in DVSDK 2.
In will require porting from DVSDK2 to DVSDK.
