TMS320C6674: C Implementations of c66x Intrinsic operators

C implementations for TMS320C66x Intrinsic operators are needed for compiling and testing our own SW on an external platform as it was developed using CCS.

I already found for c62x through the link provided in this paper www.ti.com/.../spra616.pdf

While the link provided in the paper supporting c64x is already invalid https://www.ti.com/lit/an/spraa75/spraa75.pdf

However, I need precisely the c66x implementations ".c files" to be able to compile and test our SW through different platforms. Can someone please provide a valid latest link to download this?

Hi Shankari,

This just contains the descriptions of what the Intrinsic operators do, similar to what is provided in other PDFs available.

However, I need the .C source code file containing the DEFINITIONS AND IMPLEMENTATIONS of these c66x intrinsic operators. Similarly to the ones released for c62x here www.ti.com/.../spra616.pdf

I cannot compile the codes without the source code.

Please advise.

Answer:-

The definitions and implementations / .c files of C66x intrinsic operators are not released as a public document.

You will find only the list of available intrinsic functions for C66x as well as guidelines on how to make use of it.

1. Launch CCS.

2. Help contents

3. Type intrinsics

4. you will get list of topics on intrinsics.

For example, it has the info on what device support which intrinsic etc..

However, you will find intrinsic function implemention as ".C" files in DSPLIB of C667x.

For examples, FIR, FIT, add16, add32 etc...

Once you install this package, DSPLIB is part of it.

I believe I've got this file from TI people. And I am terrified by the fact it's no longer available.

I appreciate that you're looking into this. I understand the fact that these implementations are not published as a public document.

The c_intrinsics_host_port-0_91_00-Setup.zip partially solved the problem.

Yet, would it work if we contacted through the company's account rather than on the public forum?

We believe that we have the right as customers to get the library definitions to test our SW on different platforms.

Nevertheless, the file provided by Victor Kazmirenko is helpful, just it does not provide all the definitions needed.

The code is assuming that some intrinsics are already pre-defined in previous versions like c62x or c64x.

Some examples of them are _amem2, _amem4, _amem8 ...etc.

We still require definitions of at least:

TMS320C62X

TMS320C64X

Maybe if there is some extension to the provided zip file containing the definitions of all the intrinsics used in the simulator.

At least those memory access intrinsics are provided in simulator. Be sure to globally define macro like TMS320C64X. That will allow compilation of instruction subset specific to your target.

See C62 memory access intrinsics commencing line 60 in C6xSimulator.h. C64 definitions come at line 77.

I believe this host port was provided somewhere on processors.ti.com Wiki (RIP).
