SK-AM62: sysconfig Error When Building a Simple Hello World Example

Hello,

When building a simple Hello World example sysconfig gives the following error:

Building file: "../hello_world.syscfg"
Invoking: SysConfig
"/home/username/ti/ccs1220/ccs/utils/sysconfig_1.15.0/sysconfig_cli.sh" --script "/home/username/workspace_v12/Hello_World/hello_world.syscfg" -o "syscfg" --compiler ccs

Invalid argument '--product': No product with name "MCU_PLUS_SDK_AM62x" and version "08.05.00" found

I did find reference online Link about a manifest file that mentioned a manifest file. Though I have no idea where to find that or what it is.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Graham,

Which MCU+ SDK version are you using for AM62x ? Is it 8.05.0 as shown in the screenshot ?

I am also assuming you are using Linux. Correct me on this if I am wrong.

Hello Vaibhav,

Yes to both. 8.0.5.00.14 and Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS.

Hi Graham,

For me the issue does not persists. I am able to build the example and debug it as well.

I tried with hello world m4fss0-0 freertos and it worked for me.

Meanwhile, can you check if you have the prerequisites installed or not. You can check the same by heading over to GETTING STARTED.

Also make sure to download the MCU + SDK linux installer instead of windows installer if you are trying to run on ubuntu.

Let me know once you have checked from your end.

Hi Vaibhav,

Somehow I had overwritten the Flash SOC Initialization Binary (https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1199390/sk-am62-ccs-project-examples-running-on-one-the-arm-cores-for-the-sk-am62-evm/4524750#4524750). That fixed the Hello World example not running on the BLAZAR_Cortex_M4F_1 MCU.
