AM5729: TMDSIDK572, Errors while SDK Building

Hi Experts,

Seeking your assistance on this query from Cx:

I'm trying to build the SDK as described here:

https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM57X/08_02_01_00/exports/docs/linux/Overview_Building_the_SDK.html

but get 24 errors. Most of them are fetching errors due to an unexisting repository, e.g. https://git.ti.com/cgit/sdo-emu/dsptop.git, or in other cases, e.g. github.com/google/googletest.git the repository exists but the fetch fails even so (see attached build log).

Do I make a mistake at configuration time? Please provide a solution to solve this problem. Thank you!

Hi Archie,

It appears that there may be an issue with the proxy configuration on the machine. Can you please check if you can follow the additional instructions in this link?

Thank you for this but customer responded:

We don’t have proxy in this network. I also tried it home and got the same result. What I found out, e.g. the repository

But the https://git.ti.com/cgit/graphics/ti-gc320-driver/ does exist.

Can you please check the URL and tell me whether we have to change it and if yes, how do we perform this change for all TI repositories?

This link is working for me, and I am able to access the repository, can you be check if you can access https://git.ti.com/cgit ?

Hello Karthik,

If you read carefully, it wrote that https://git.ti.com/cgit/graphics/ti-gc320-driver/ DOES exist.

And https://git.ti.com/graphics/ti-gc320-driver.git does NOT exist!

You can access the link but there is NO repository (see Screenshot – No repositories found):

And that exactly what SDK builder is trying to access.

Can anyone try to build the SDK, like described here? You can see some errors.

PLEASE ASSIST.

URLs with the .git extension will need to be accessed using a git protocol. See below:

I have been able to successfully build the Yocto filesystem by following the same instructions posted here:

The only additional changes that were needed due to recent changes in the upstream repositories. The following changes had to be made for bridge-utils and googletest recipes:

Sorry but where do you have your link from? It’s not what my customer talking:

https://git.ti.com/graphics/ti-gc320-driver.git

In your link, you have just put /git/ after https://git.ti.com , in the original link is it not there.

Hi Karthik,

Customer followed the instructions but still have problems with some TI repositories, like git://git.ti.com/sdo-emu/dsptop.git

This repository does not exist on ti:

git clone git://git.ti.com/sdo-emu/dsptop.git
Cloning into 'dsptop'...
fatal: repository 'git.ti.com/.../' not found

Archie,

This is certainly a proxy related issue (configuration of the git to access some sites such as git.ti.com is being prohibited or not configured correctly).

As an example, I try to clone dsptop please see my output:

$ git clone git://git.ti.com/sdo-emu/dsptop.git
Cloning into 'dsptop'...
remote: Counting objects: 189, done.
remote: Compressing objects: 100% (146/146), done.
remote: Total 189 (delta 84), reused 100 (delta 35)
Receiving objects: 100% (189/189), 2.88 MiB | 1.75 MiB/s, done.
Resolving deltas: 100% (84/84), done.

$
