AM625: Regarding AM625x sysconfig

The RX option is used to decide if the receiver should be enabled or not.   It is necessary to enable for any input function and also when the signal is bi-directional or loopback.

The tool does not currently support all padconfig control bits. 

However, most pins start with the TX and RX disabled - see table 6-2046 in TRM revision A for details. 

Any configuration of the unsupported bit fields will require manual updates to the code.

In case we don't select a particular pin in sysconfig, Can that be treated as tristate? (example below).

We understood through an interaction with TI through call, that to tristate a pin we must disable RX option for that pin and select NO PULL. Is this correct ?

I believe that, if the pin is not selected in the tool, the padconfig will not be written and the reset values will apply. 

Which OS are you using?

What happens if we disable RX option for a pin and select NO PULL.?

I would have to check with the s/w team on how they handle the lack of TX. I can check if you provide which OS you are using.
