Cannot compile demo TMS320C5515 EVM + MDK for C5505 and ECG

I've follwed your instructions and now I got compile. It was need to include "C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\bios_5_41_02_14\packages\ti\bios\include" to Include Options.

Do you know what's the macro name for this directory? Where I can find all macro names and add new ones?

You're welcome. You can find all the macros and add new ones to the Macros Tab.

Build Properties > C/C++ Build > the Macros tab will be the last one on the right in the Configuration Settings part of the window.

So, I had seen Macros tab. I had even created the following macro: Name={BIOS_5_41_DIR} / Type=Directory / Value=C:/Program Files (x86)/Texas Instruments/bios_5_41_02_14.

So the Include Options was changed from "C:/Program Files (x86)/Texas Instruments/bios_5_41_02_14/packages/ti/bios/include" to "{BIOS_5_41_DIR}/packages/ti/bios/include".

But when compiling, the following errors described earlier in this post reappeared.

In fact, I wouldn't need a macro to enter the path
"C: / Program Files (x86) / Texas Instruments/bios_5_41_02_14/packages/ti/bios/include" (or the beginning of this path).
I was wondering if there is a macro for this default location. So in Include Options I just enter the name of this macro (or macro's name plus the rest of the path where .h is located).

I don't know what's wrong.

You forgot to add the $ symbol to your macro in the include options:

"${BIOS_5_41_DIR}/packages/ti/bios/include"

I just got my EVM and FE. Even if I include the file path there are still these errors.

The difference is that only the files under the path /src have this error. Other folders have no problem.

Could some let know how to solve this problem?

What's your CCS version? I had the same problem using a higher version to v4, which comes with EVM. Try to use version 4.1.0.02002.

I am using the same version as 4.1.0.02002. I installed all the updates that might cause the problem.

Please let me know if you have any other tips?

I suspect it is a circular #include problem coz I've seen similar problem in Microsoft Visual Studio. I am still looking into the code.

I don't know what's going on. If you want, I can try to compile your project in my CCS and see if this error occurs here too. But I'll only get this on next monday. If you agree, please, post your code here.

I'm attaching the demo project that came with EVM. You can diff it with yours and analyse if they are equal or not. And if they are differents, then try to compile it.

It turns out I have to use code base 5_1 not 5_0 came with the FE demo board.

I am unable to know where i am getting .bin file in my code studio 4.1 version.I also not able to get how to run the code.I can only load sample .bin files ..

.bin file is generated using hex55 with .out file generated by CCS build.  hex55 is a hex conversion utility that ships as part of CCS assembly language package. Refer to the TMS320C55x Assembly Language Tools User's Guide for all avaliable options, SPRU280H. Also check out the individual device's Bootloader Apps Note for  instructions to generate a .bin file.
