Audio programming

I would like to try to make an audio filter program. Music is coming in to the line in input, then it is filtered and after that it must be transmitted to the hp out output. 

I've read the TMS320C674x_OMAP-L1x Processor Multichannel Audio Serial Port (McASP) document but what I can't understand is how the transmitting and recieving the sound is related with Line in, hp out, (and also line out) outputs? I didn't find any documentation related with it. Please suggest one. 

P.S. I do not want to use audio drivers.

    You'll find the McASPEcho program here for a sample of how to use the McASP with the C674x DSP.

    You'll need to review the board schematics to determine how the channels are related to the hardware.

    The source code itself is not enough, I need a documentation also. And that was my question. Suppose that I need something related with ADC. There must be some separate documentation regarding that devices (Line in, out etc).

    Datasheets for the devices on the board can be found by typing in the part number on TI.com. Outside the schematics, and the source code, there doesn't exist any documentation.

    I've found the documentation, in my case it was about TLV320AIC3106.
