TDA4VH-Q1: I could not boot the VH EVM with SDK 8.5.

Hello,

I could boot the VH board with SDK 8.2.2.

But I could not boot the board with SDK 8.5.

I followed the same instructions.

Is there something else I need to do?

Hi,

Issue being reported is not expected, further details will be required in order for TI to respond.

For example, which SDK is being used, what boot mode is being used, and what logs/errors are being seen on serial consoles?

Hello KB,

I am using these; 08.05.00.XX

I used microSD card booting mode(I could boot with a microSD card with 8.2.2, and I did not change a boot mode)

I could see 4 serial ports active /dev/ttyUSBX.

There is no serial output from the board.(I could see the booting log with 8.2.2)

Hello

It could be because of the uploaded TI SDK.

Its name is ti-processor…j721e-evm…tar.gz, which is not VH

It should be like the file name: ti-processor…j784s4…tar.gz

How to configure the SDK for VH, and where can I download the bootloader and rootfs for VH?

Hi,

You will need to use the SDK corresponding to TDA4VH.

The release should be available before the end of the week at this location: https://www.ti.com/product/TDA4VH-Q1#software-development

Kindly try to prepare a new SD card by following the procedure. If the problem persists, please come back on this thread.
