SK-AM62A-LP: Questions about eMMC boot mode

Part Number: SK-AM62A-LP

Customer tested eMMC booting with "early" version of AM62A SK EVM board.

He verified below two eMMC boot modes working OK (he did not need eMMC RAW mode, and did not test the mode).

    (1) User Partition (UDA, FileSystem) - [b7:b3] = 11000b

    (2) Boot Partition (eMMC Boot, FileSystem) - [b7:b3] = 11001b

He asked two questions which he found when doing eMMC booting test.

-

[Q1] When using eMMC Boot mode (Boot Partition), only "tiboot3.bin" is from the Boot Partition, and "tispl.bin" and "u-boot.img" files needed be located in the User Partition (not in Boot Partition).

So, is it expected behavior? (This test was done with SDK v8.04, so is it corrected with SDK v8.06, if it was an issue?)

[Q2] With "early" version of SK EVM, it seems the boot mode switch SW2 was not correct, different with the setting of TRM document.

The setting of eMMC Boot(FS) mode from TRM is [b7:b3]=11001b, but the board switch setting of working eMMC Boot(FS) mode was as below, 11010b.

=> SW2 switch setting [b7:b3] at below capture is "01001b" not "11010b".

So, can you please check if the SW2 switch of the "early" SK EVM was incorrect or not?

Thanks for support.
