Hi Experts,

If the PCBA ships from the manufactory, and the EMMC is without any partition table,

is it possible for a device to boot by Dfu-tool if I don't have a bootable SD card?

I'm confused about the booting method of am623 after I have studied many documents.

What type of boot media/peripheral available or planned for eMMC flashing on your board?
One of options is USB-DFU

Hi, Hong.

Does this mean I don't need to reserve any external storage (sd storage, usb disk) for my hardware? Just use dfu to program the emmc on the board?

Hello,
Using USB-DFU is one option to flash eMMC on board.
I'd think serial port is convenient and necessary for logging serial output... but it depends on your system requirements and design.

Hello Jesse,
One option is using USB-DFU to boot to u-boot, and use "gpt" cmd @u-boot to make GPT partitions for eMMC UDA.
