PROCESSOR-SDK-AM64X: PRU ethernet switch is duplicating packet

Hello,

We tried to used the switch mode of PRU_ICSSGs. We have the same kernel driver modification as the ones described here : https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1198858/processor-sdk-am64x-pru-ethernet-switch-on-linux-for-am64.

We are using 8.04 PRU switch Firmware.

If we have a host 'X' connected on ICSSG eth1 and a host 'Y' connected on ICSSG eth2. If X is pinging Y, X receives duplicated responses from Y.

Is it a known issue on PRU switch mode of 8.04 SDK ?

which board you are working on AM64x-EVM or SK ?

I am assuming you are working on Linux not RTOS. correct ?

Hi Remi,

Currently AM64 is not at parity with AM65 and switch mode is not supported.

It maybe at parity in 9.1 or later versions.

Hi Rimika,

From my understanding :

* AM64 & AM65 are using same ICSSG firmware

* ICSSG firmwares are in charge of forwarding packet

Is my understanding correct ?

Hi Remi,

AM64 and AM65 do use same ICSSG firmware which is facilitating packet delivery.

But here we are requiring switch mode which is configured in driver and AM64 does not support switch mode.
