AM5729: LIBRARY INSTALLATION

Hi,

We are using AM5729 EVM board .It is booting with linux SDK that has come along with that evm board.

Is it possible to install the libraries i.e, zeromq ,libsodium etc.,because certain command execution like sudo ,apt .apt-get commands are not working in that arego version .

Also it is possible to boot using Debian OS in the evm eval card.I got

unable to find am57xx-evm-reva3.dtb console message.

Please clarify on those two queries asap.Thanks.

Hi Thilak,

Yes, you can install packages using opkg, the package manager that is present in the default Yocto build system.

Sudo is not available because when you login on to the board, you login as root so you have all permissions.

To add other libraries not on the Arago recipe, you have to use Yocto to add them.

Lastly, to answer your last question, booting AM57 EVM with Debian can be possible but we do not support it so it has not been tested.
