I raised a support case but was told to repost here ....

Could you please direct me to the DMA Controller documentation for the TDA4AH Jacinto J784s4 please ?

I cant not find these details in the current TRM or data sheet.

There are references to UTC, DRU & PDMA , but no further details on how the DMA Controller(s) actually work.

Outside of TRM, we have a training slide at the following link for UDMA.

You can also follow the example in UDMA LLD driver from PDK to understand it better.

Hi Stanley,

Thanks for that. I had seen the presentation and have been looking at some of the PDK examples.

However there does not seem to be any detailed specifications for the DMA Controllers.

In other TI products there is documentation on the DMA's . A couple of examples are here :

In these there is a lot more detail of the DMA Controllers.

Do you know when this type of detailed information will be released ?

Hi Paul,

We currently don't have any additional document other than TRM and driver code in SDK.
