TDA4VE-Q1: Clock Tree Tool

Part Number: TDA4VE-Q1

Hi TI team,

I am looking for the TDA4VE Clock Tree Tool. Did you released it ?

Thanks for your support.

Stephan.

  • Hello Stephan,

We do not offer a Clock Tree Tool for TDA4VE.  Rather, we provide a Linux command line tool called k3conf that can query/report the state of the device including PLLs and clock frequencies.

    • k3conf dump processor
    • k3conf dump device
    • k3conf dump clocks

    Regards,
    Kyle

  • Hello Kyle,

understood, but I am hardware engineer, not software. I am trying to understand clock tree configuration at board level, without using a Linux OS.

The TDA4VE reference manual is not pretty clear as some signal name are not consistent from on chapter to the other. The TDA4VE has 2 LPDDR4 controllers, could you tell me the PLL number which is clocking the two different LPDDR4 controllers. Thanks for your support. Stephan.

  • Hello Stephan,

The primary DDR clock is generated from MAIN_PLL12.HSDIV0 and MAIN_PLL26.HSDIV0 for DDR0 and DDR1 respectively.

    Regards,
    Kyle
