TDA4AL-Q1: Memory Allocation in TIOVX

Hello Support-Team,

The TIOVX User Guide[1] states that memory allocation of OpenVX objects is restricted to the 'Verify' phase.
Can you confirm if this also includes all platform objects like tasks, events, queues and mutexes, or is it possible that these are also created at run-time during the 'Execute' phase.

Hi Marco,

OpenVX frame buffers would be allocated during "Graph Verify" phase. Tasks, events and queues are all allocated at init time of the kernel itself..

If I understand correctly this means that the allocations are finished even before the 'Create' phase, right?

Hi Marco,

Do you mean allocation of tasks, semaphore etc resources? Then yes, they will be allocated when kernel is initialized.

to be precise, I mean the objects that are implemented in ${PSDKR}/tiovx/source/platform/os/posix/
