TDA4VM: Software diagnostics library (sdl) for functional safety

Part Number: TDA4VM

We are working in TDA4 and we are considering using the sdl library provided by texas instrument. Is this library designed and tested for compliance with the relevant functional safety standards? Can you provided documents or proofs of this? Or you cant assure this?

Regards

  • Hi,

The Functional Safety Enablers, is a good spot to start for safety related information on the TDA4VM.

The SDL library, which is distributed as part of PSDK RTOS, is safety certified for the TDA4VM device.  The SDL has a Compliance Support package which is available under NDA and upon request as below.

SDL CSP is released as an addon package to the PSDK RTOS release:

    • mySecure SW Access Link (after access has been granted) : [LINK]

  • Is the entire SDK safety certified for TDA4VM? I couldn´t find a direct reference to this in the functional safety enablers. If such documentation exists where can we find it or ask for it?

    Thanks

  • Hi Oscar,

The entire SDK is not safety certified.

If you have a TI contact please request the TI SDK Roadmap from them.  The TI SDK Roadmap slides go goes over which SDK S/W components are Safety Certified and which components are Safety Qualifiable, along with schedules per device.

If you do not have a contact, please let me know.
