TDA4VM: Die startup issues in production

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hi team,

Customers are currently working on a die burning scheme for TDA4 in production.

They plan to use EMMC to burn offline (burn EMMC before patches), chip boot will not start, given the chance that the patch process will cause data corruption. However, the boot dial switch is no longer retained after the board has been made and no other boot mode can be changed. If the board does not start, the EMMC can only be replaced (it's time-consuming and has heavy workload).

So the customer would like to know if TDA4 have a way to deal with this case? For example, some chips integrate a piece of code into the on-chip ROM and wait for the bootloader program to be passed into the serial port if a valid IDB (entity Block) is not recognized.

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry
