DRA782: DSP simulator

Part Number: DRA782

Hi team,

we are developing DSP code for TI processors like C6000 (e.g. DRA782), and I heard that simulation capabilities (e.g. MegaModule, or cycle-accurate, or other) are dismissed since CCS 8.3, I would like to know: if  there an alternative, and currently supported, way that TI provides to test our code in a simulated environment?

Currently, our trivial solution is to not update the CCS and use the 8.3 version… hope there is an official, supported, process.

Thanks

Jens

  • Hi Jens,

I would recommend to stay with your current environment and not update CCS.

At the mean time, we would follow up with CCS team regarding the support in latest CCS.

    Regards,

    Stanley

CCS no longer supports simulators. The last version to ship with them is CCSv5.5. If you choose to try that obsolete version, note that it is a completely unsupported environment and we will not be able to provide any assistance if you run into any issues.
