DRA71XEVM: HDMI Connections

Hello,

My customer is referring to the DRA71 EVM to connect the DRA71 to TPD12S016RKTR to a connector. in the schematics, the Data lanes are not connected to the TPD12S016RKTR, is there a reason for this? See below:

Also, are there any thing to keep in mind when referencing this solution?

From what I understand from the schematic, they are taking the lines and referencing another page. Either 3 or 4 as I can see. You could be seeing only a portion of the schematic of the daughter card or the SOM board.

This schematic should be a good reference since the HDMI would be verified working before releasing.

Yes, the Data lines are connected to the SOC. however it is no connected to the TPD12S016RKTR. is there a reason for this?

The TPD12S016 device has higher pin capacitance than the discrete part we used on the EVM. The individual components also allowed us to better optimize the routing on the PCB. Customer can choose either - but for highest performance, the discrete device is recommended.
