AM5718: Linux system time deviation

Hello TI,

We are facing an issue whether the Linux system time is deviating (without external synchronization method) more than 155ppm. We have checked with the IDK eval board and the same happens. We have seen the following errata:

LCPD-24682

P4-Low

Timer - DUT time is deviating more than 0.0005

Do you have any plans to correct this issue anytime soon?

Hi Gonzalo,

The dev team is working on this issue and will determine a timeline. This might take an undetermined amount of time. To answer your question, I don't believe this will be fixed "soon", as of now there is no set plan to.

The fix is a work in progress and we do not have a hack/workaround available. I will let you know as soon as something becomes available.

Hi Gonzalo,

I apologize for the delay. Now that the SDK for AM57 a slight refresh by the end of year, I wanted to give you the final verdict on this thread. The development team is focusing on the Kernel and Yocto migration for this and is not going to fix known issues of low priority.

In conclusion, LCPD-24682 will not be fixed on our side at this time.
