TMS320C6747: OMAP-L137/C6747 Linux Examples

Particularly, I am working with the OMAP-L138/C6748 Low-Cost Development Kit (LCDK) and would like to use the MCASP driver to perform audio processing.

This details some high level application like arecord to record audio. I take this can be done on the LCDK I'm working with?
ALSA has a C++ library that can be used in Ubuntu.

Assuming that works then I have PCM data in a program, how can I access the DSP functions on the C6747?

This has few examples that you could try using the gstreamer plugins available in our sdk to verify audio/video capability.

I note that

I'm using the TMDSLCDK6748 development kit which has a C6748 DSP. Can I expect these GStreamer plugins work?

Here on the Demos/Example table it shows that the C6748 does not have any multimedia demos, so I presume not.

Thank you for the info. That's certainly the Linux software for the OMAPL137, so I'll close this issue.

However, I'm hesitant to pursue the OMAPL137 as it seems like an old platform. When I search for "OMAPL137 Linux" on the forms, all the results are 10+ years old. Many of the links to the old TI wiki's are dead ends and it took several back and forth messages to find the Linux platform.

Our team is looking for a DSP chip that is up to date and that we know can have support in our design process.
We're not commited  to using a linux system, but want something for the most convenient integration into our existing board.
Could you have a look at this question and see if you have any input?
