TDA4VE: hardware performance counter

Which core/s are you looking to profile?  Each of the programmable cores does have a performance unit embedded in it (Cortex-A72, Cortex-R5, C7x-DSP, Cortex-M4)  The TRMs for each core does provide ways to select events and read them out, these cores support this via processor trace (like ETM) and micor-arch counters like (PMU units).  Normally, code is instrumenting to select, read, and log values, however, debuggers can often do this without the need for instrumenting code.  Other entities around the chip do also provide performance counters, the hardware provides tracers in the interconnect endpoints called CPTracers (latency, bandwidth, transaction) these are typically setup and used via JTAG debuggers.  Its common for people to use tools from TI's/CCS, Lauterbach's, iSystems, GreenHills to work with these performance units.

Can we have access to a documentation about this CPTracers ?
Before investing in a solution, we need to ensure that the platform is supported by the tools.
