Hi,
USB Mass storage class in both gadget and host mode is supported on DM36x linux support package. You can ensure that your kernel .config file has the USB mas storage support enabled and then you can directly connect your USB port to a USB hard disk or USB port on PC, depending on the mode you have enabled.
In summary, the USB mass storage is already enabled in the current software releases you have on DM36x DVSDK.
