Hi Team,

Can the TPS6590378, used with the AM5726, be used to power the AM579 if the EVE is disabled and never used?

I used the TPS659037 User's Guide to Power AM574x, AM572x, and AM571x and it looks like the AM578 and AM576 can both be powered by the TPS6590378. Can the AM5729 also use the TPS6590378 variant? We will NOT be using the EVE so there should not be extra power consumption.

Also I cannot find any information about the EVE or IVA in the AM572x TRM as it refers to the “Data Manual”. However I can not find this manual liked to any of the product pages. Are these subsystems enabled on powerup? If so, is there a way to have them disabled by default?

Nishka,

Yes you can use the same power supply as long as you are limiting functionality to the equivalent of the smaller devices.
