TDA4VL-Q1: gpu load test problem in ti-thermal-test-suite

As a gpu load test, the load is set 100% by the gpu_thermal_thermal_test_aarch64_surfaceless load tool in ti-thermal-test-suite, but the load displays only less than 70 in cat/sys/kernel/debug/pvr/status viewing. Is the load parameter of the tool inaccurate?

Hello,

The GPU load test has not been tuned for the TDA4VL device. Unfortunately, this will require an update for the GPU task so that it can model the utilization accurately.

When do you need an accurate test by?

Hello Tian,

At the moment we are currently still updating the program for accurate loading. We have a workaround that you can currently use for generating the load you are looking for.

Please run the following command to get as much loading as needed:

glmark2-es2-wayland --off-screen --fullscreen -b terrain:duration=100.0

The duration can be modified for your needs. You can spin up as many instances as you need to get the required loading for now.

After executing the command, prompt error "Could not initialize canvas" and "segmentation fault".

The command requires wayland/weston to be loaded, do you have it running in the background?
