This is post for TI technical engineers.
As we got a commit to develop a medical equipment from one of our clients. We are looking for a opt controller from TI. After attending a seminar presented by TI we are interested to go with the TI MPUs. But being first in TI we need some suggestions or recomends from the TI regarding the selection of MCUs or MPUs.
Let me list out our needs:
1. We have to interface LCD monitor (D15 type connector) of any make but fixed size of 15". (the maximum resolution is 1024 X 768).
2. Nor type flash upto 16 MB interface.
3. SDRAM of upto 32 MB as frame buffer for display.
4. Camera interface, CMOS type available in open market (may be suggested by TI)
5. USB 2.0 full speed OTG type, to interface any flash drives from any make. To take backup of captured video.
6. SD(miro SD) interface.
7. Audio codec for voice anouncment.
As per the above listed needs, we are in duscussion to use AM1808 or OMAP 3525.
We need some conversation from TI Engineers regarding this. Is AM1808 is good enough for video playing (aptured from camera). Is it possible to overlay particular area of display as Video?.
As i heard the support from TI will better good than any other. I hope the same from the TI engineers.
