AM6442: AM64 eMMC Init Problem

Hello Berlam,

How are you running this example? Are you booting the board with SBL_NULL & then loading & running the example through CCS? Or you are booting the board in eMMC boot mode & using SBL_EMMC_LINUX to initialize the board and run the example.

I have tested the example on side through CCS and it works fine as shown below

To debug the issue on your side, could you let me know where exactly in MMCSD_open function the control is stuck in an infinite loop.

Thank you for providing more granular information.

I would like to know if this is the first time you are trying to read/write the eMMC. If so, I would like you to test another example which uses the same underlying eMMC driver. One such example is SBL_UART_UNIFLASH which can flash the given images to eMMC. You can test the flashing procedure for eMMC. A sample .cfg file to use with UART Uniflash tool is available at <MCU+ SDK INSTALL DIR>/examples/drivers/boot/sbl_emmc_linux.

I tried that before and it doesnt work. Tried to debug  SBL_UART_UNIFLASH and stucked at the same function which is inside of Drivers_Open.

Thank you for the testing. At this point, this can very well be a problem in eMMC driver or the hardware. To find this out, I would like you to do one more testing. If you have SD card boot mode available, could you please try to read/write the eMMC from U-Boot which is offered by PSDK.

Also, have you tested the MCU+ SDK v8.5?
